Meet our founders
Tan Wei Jie
B.Acc (Hons), CA (Singapore), ACRA Qualified Individuals
With experiences in both an outsource accounting firm and internal shared service center, Wei Jie is a subject expert for accounting and taxation matters alike. Throughout his career, he is involved in various industries including wholesale trading, e-commerce, SPVs and investment holding entities.
He is able to communicate fluently with China counterparties due to his past experiences. A chartered accountant and qualified individual, he currently is in charge of the Taxation and Incentives Segment of the firm.
Vivian Tay
BBA Hons, IHRP – SP
Vivian began her career in HR since the late 1990s. HR training by nature, the IHRP-SP holder had almost 3 decades of HR experience in all HR functions (Compensation & Benefit, Recruitment & Retention, Training & Development).
She was a pioneer to a US MNC seeking to start-up in Singapore. Her vast experience working with local SMEs, Malaysia based firm, China SOE and US MNCs allows to be immerse in diversified working cultures (a plus point as a HR!). Vivian currently offers her service in HR Consulting and payroll matters.
Michelle Tan
B.Acc (Hons), CA (Singapore)
With close to a decade of experience in Big 4 Accounting firm, Michelle is proficient in the business processes, risk management and compliance requirements of the Singapore corporate environment.
As a Chartered Accounting (Singapore), Michelle had a few stints in local listed entities in the area of risk and corporate governance. Her past experiences allow her to be greatly involved in multi-industries and her diverse profile makes her an invaluable partner of OakTree. Michelle currently manages the compliance and governance department of the firm.
Scofield Koh
ACCA Member
Backed by 10 years of experience in accounting and consolidation, Scofield is well-versed with the latest accounting practices in both SMEs and MNCs across various industries such as logistics, e-commerce, offshore marine and engineering.
He spent a few years in the role of financial analysis and group reporting, thus explaining his expertise in consolidation and financial statement analysis. He is the founding partner of OakTree and mainly oversees the accounting department of the firm.
Our Journey
A casual afternoon meeting over coffee rekindled the idea of setting up an accounting and business solutions company. The goal? To serve the larger corporate community with the skills that they acquired over the past decade or so.
Founded by three partners who had taken very different pathways since graduating together in 2011, OakTree Accounting and Corporate Solutions (“OakTree”) was finally incorporated in 2024 after years of freelancing. A young firm with highly experienced partners, OakTree offer tailored services that seek to address the root issue of each company – to solve your problem (Costs, Accuracy, Quality, Compliance, Savings, Operations).
